What a postpartum does changes from day to day, as the needs of the family changes. Postpartum doulas do a entire range of tasks to help support that personal families needs which can include : housework, taking care of siblings, errands and meal prep.
A doula recognizes birth as a key experience the mother will remember for all her life. She understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a women in labor. She is a person who is trained and experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth . She can be your sister that is a great source of information, she can be that person lovingly holding your hand but most of all she is there for you.
Please email us at Doularoxanne@gmail.com anytime and we will do our best to answer them for you.
When a doula is present during and after childbirth, women report greater satisfaction with their birth experience, make more positive assessments of their babies, have fewer cesareans and requests for medical intervention, and less postpartum depression. It's our experience you meet a family where they are at in this journey and walk the path with them.
